The Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery (IIGJ) in Jaipur celebrated its annual award function on June 13 by distributing certificates and awards to the graduating students and winners of the “Jewels of Rajasthan 2010” competition.
The chief guest on the occasion was Rajendra Pareek, Minister for industries, government of Rajasthan, and the guest of honour was Shyam Sunder Khatoria, a senior trade member.
The award for the best student of the year 2010 was sponsored y the Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (RCCI) and was awarded to Shobhika Periwal by RCCI honorary secretary K.L. Jain.
Pareek and Khotoria presented awards to Nitasha Sharma and Dushyant Dave for standing first and second respectively at the national level. Gunjan Kala was awarded the first prize at the state level and Megha Bhangla was awarded first place under the jewellery accessory category.
