Languishing at last place in the Indian Premier League 2011 (IPL 2011) points table, Pune Warriors have turned to former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly to help revive their campaign.
Saurav Ganguly, one of the most successful Indian captains of all times, went unsold in the players auction earlier this year and was doing commentating on the IPL games.
Ganguly, also called Dada, is the one batsman who can change the game on his head on his day, and Yuvraj Singh may have got just the right kind of batsman to rely on as Pune Warriors lack quality players.
Apart from Yuvraj Singh, captain of Pune Warriors, and Robin Uthappa, one of the most expensive IPL players, the Pune team lacks quality players but induction of Saurav Ganguly will give them just the right kind of combination to help revive their sorry campaign.
Saurav Ganguly will replace left-arm fast bowler Ashish Nehra who got himself injured during an IPL game.
Pune Warriors are languishing at the 10th place in the IPL points table as they have managed to win only two of their eight matches.
