According to reports of ОКNА МЕDIА portal, International Aluminium Institute, based on available statistical data, concluded that in 2010 world output of aluminium only slightly exceeded that of 2009.

- Total output of aluminium amounted to 24,295 and 23,398 million tonnes in 2010 and 2009, respectively.
- Average daily output of aluminium amounted to 66,6 and 64,1 thousand tonnes in 2010 and 2009, respectively.
Here are December figures of world aluminium production for two previous years:
- Total output of aluminium amounted to 2,128 and 1,984 million tonnes in 2010 and 2009, respectively.
- Average daily output of aluminium amounted to 68,6 and 64,0 thousand tonnes in 2010 and 2009, respectively.
Note: this analytical report on world aluminium production isn’t complete, as there are no statistics for a number of countries, playing an important role in aluminium sector, namely, China, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
