Silver futures for December jumped up 54 cents to $27.405.
Silver prices experienced the largest drop in almost two years on Wednesday as the dollar rallied, and the rise on Thursday accounted for a 2 % increase.
Silver dropped 7.1 %, or $2.041, to $26.865 an ounce Wednesday after reaching a 30-year high of $29.34.
Meanwhile, gold futures for December rose $4, or 0.3 %, to sit at $1,403.30.
Gold futures fell on Wednesday by $10.80, or 0.8 %, to $1,399.30.
