Letseng gives one more exceptional diamond of 196 carat.

 

Gem Diamonds has recovered a full white rough diamond weighing 196 carat at its 70% owned Letseng mine in Lesotho. The remaining 30% is owned by the government. The company expects the diamond will produce top colour and clarity polished diamonds which will fetch substantial price per carat.

478 Carat Light of Letseng

Letseng has the history of giving unique and exceptional diamonds. 

·         603 carat Letseng Promise which sold for $12.4 million.

·         493 carat Letseng Legacy, which sold for $10.4 million.

·         478 carat Light of Letseng, which sold for $ 18.4 million. 

It is remarkable that all the above diamonds were purchased by Lawrence Graff, who owns 9% stake in Gem Diamonds.
