Yesterday market opened on positive note but remained volatile on the expiry day and ahead of the Union Budget. Market did not react positively to Economic Survey report. Index heavy weight RIL dragged the Index down.
Market breadth was negative today. Out of total 1338 stock traded on NSE 560 stocks ended in negative, 733 stocks declined and 45 stocks remained unchanged.
On sectoral front out of 13 indices seven indices closed in positive. Capital goods(Up 1.27%) IT (Up 0.55 %) and Teck (up 0.39%) were the biggest gainer of the day. Oil & Gas (down 1.31%) and FMCG (down 0.83%) were the biggest looser of the day.
The range of movement for last 3 trading sessions is between 4833-4885 and wide range is 4800-4951. Close below 4790 will drag the NIFTY down upto 4655, and close above 4960 will take the NIFTY to 5030.
