Zinc was stronger during pre-market trading on the London Metal Exchange on Monday as all base metals with the exception of tin made gains on their opening price. Three-month zinc traded at $2,294 per tonne at 10:08 BST on Monday, up from an opening price of $2,273 per tonne.
The gains came despite another large zinc delivery into New Orleans, which market sources interpreted as a continuation of a play that has kept European premiums strong in recent months. Zinc stocks in LME-listed stores
