London Metal Exchange has reduced the margin for trading in zinc to $5,250 as against current requirement of $6,000. This supported prices initially but stocks increased by 11,800 tonnes thereby taking the total stocks to 865,825 tonnes.
Cancelled warrant ratio continues to remain at close to 1 percent of total stocks, one of the lowest among the base metal pack thereby stocks might continue to witness build-up in the near term.
