EVER THOUGHT WHAT YOU ALWAYS THINK?

Nose and mind has a great similarity – they both are extremely important for life but they both need the least management. Whether you go to sleep or you work in an awakened state, you don’t need to force your nose to keep breathing. And whether you wish or not, the mind will always keep thinking all the times. After all, what does the mind has to lose in thinking? If anyone who will lose something, it is the thinker himself, or herself.

But the mind can learn a few things from the nose, to be a better part of the body and life. The nose will always inhale air irrespective of whether it is pure or impure, it is Indian or Pakistani. The nose always works for the person whom it belongs to and for nobody else. This selfish way of its operating is really very prudent way and if the mind too will act the same way, it will start functioning in a much better way. You may wonder, how… let me tell you.

Our mind often and unnecessarily gets busy thinking about others and about things which are really of no use to us. That unwanted thinking drags us towards the feeling of jealousy, spite, animosity and so on. We hate our neighbour because they have a better television set than us, we hate Americans because they are more prosperous than us, we hate certain person because he worships a different god than us. Even if we have enough materialistic happiness at our disbursement, we always feel short of it because our mind tells us to look at those who have more of it than us. Does it make any sense?

Absolutely not. Those who want to be happy always stay away from comparisons. Those who want to be content in true sense never show discontent to others. A fish lives all its life in water but its mind never pushes it to think that one day, it would become an ocean itself!

You don’t spend money on thinking, but bad thinking really cost you life in the end. The difference between what you can become and what you have ended becoming up lies only in thinking. Every thought that hits the mind leaves its indelible effect on one’s life. The only way to refrain life from negative effect is stop thinking negative. The duty of breathing is to add years to age. The duty of thinking is to add life to growing age. Remember that the nose will react instantly if it inhales bad air, but the mind may opt to react very late, but it will react in the worst way when it does. That’s by hurting life itself.

If you really want to find eternal happiness, then you have to manage your thinking throughout your life. Quite a difficult job for a beginner but very rewarding for those who become seasoned ones. Try it.
