China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced on May 19 that its member companies achieved an average daily crude steel output of 1.6323 million tonnes in the first 10 days of May this year, down 0.7 percent compared with the average daily figure for the last 10 days of April (April 21-30).
In the period under review, China posted an overall average daily crude steel output of 1.9467 million tonnes, up 0.29 percent compared with the average daily figure for last 10 days of April.
In April, China had posted a record average daily crude steel output of 1.931 million tonnes.
