According to reports of OKNA MEDIA portal, International Aluminium Institute has published the data for world aluminium production in January 2011.
For the stated period world output of primary aluminium was raised by 7,1%, or 2,126 million tonnes of «winged metal». At that daily output of aluminium grew by 7,2%, which is equivalent to 68,6 thousand tonnes.
By the results of the first month of 2011 the main manufacturing countries took the following positions:
- North America - 405 000 tonnes;
- West Europe - 334 000 tonnes;
- East Europe - 367 000 tonnes;
- Countries of Persian Gulf - 270 000 tonnes;
- Asia (without China) - 216 000 tonnes;
- South America - 190 000 tonnes;
- Africa - 147 000 tonnes;
- Australia and New Zealand - 194 000 tonnes.
